Premier equestrian training and horse sales in Nova Scotia. Developing confident riders and exceptional performance horses through expert coaching and care.
Our western training program develops versatile, responsive horses through a foundation of feel and connection. We build soft, willing partners that excel in reining, western pleasure, ranch work, and all-around competition.
We begin with thorough groundwork to establish respect, communication, and confidence before progressing to under-saddle training.
We focus on developing a light, responsive horse through correct body position, soft hands, and progressive collection work that western disciplines demand.
Whether your horse is destined for reining, western pleasure, or ranch versatility, we refine the specific skills needed for success in the show pen.
From reining and western pleasure to ranch riding and trail, we develop well-rounded western horses with the softness, responsiveness, and willingness to succeed.
Our western program develops soft, responsive horses that work willingly off light cues. Whether you are looking for a competitive reining or western pleasure horse or a solid all-around ranch horse, we build the fundamentals that matter across every western discipline.
We train with a focus on softness and feel. A well-trained western horse should respond to the lightest cue and carry itself in self-carriage. We never rely on heavy hands or mechanical aids as substitutes for correct training. Every horse in our program learns to think, respond, and perform willingly.
From the first ride to the show pen, our goal is a horse that is a pleasure to ride—one that is safe, responsive, and confident in its job.
We assist riders in finding the right horse to match their goals, experience, and long-term development.
Whether you are refining your skills or working toward competition goals, our coaching is designed to help you ride with greater confidence, clarity, and connection.

We develop western horses through feel and timing, creating soft, responsive partners that perform with confidence and willingness in any setting.

We train across multiple western disciplines including reining, western pleasure, horsemanship, ranch riding, trail, and all-around events. Our foundation work benefits horses in every western discipline because the basics—softness, responsiveness, and correct movement—are universal.
Yes. Many skills transfer between English and western riding. The biggest adjustments involve neck reining, headset, and a different riding style. Horses with a solid English foundation often transition well because they already understand responsiveness and balance.
We typically start horses in a snaffle and progress through training bits as the horse develops. The timeline depends on the individual horse. We never rush a horse into a curb bit before it has the foundation to carry it comfortably and respond correctly.
Yes. We prepare horses and riders for AQHA, APHA, and local breed association shows across multiple events. Our show preparation includes pattern work, class simulation, and conditioning specific to the events you want to compete in.
A good stop starts long before the horse ever slides. We first build correct forward motion, straightness, and responsiveness to the seat. Then we introduce stopping exercises gradually, letting the horse build confidence and strength. Trying to teach stops too early often creates problems.
We begin ground work and basic handling as yearlings or two-year-olds. Light riding typically starts at age 3, with progression based on physical and mental maturity. We take a patient approach because proper development early on prevents problems down the road.
